Te Puna Manawa HealthWEST is a Māori Partner Provider passionate about improving health and social outcomes by delivering free, accessible, innovative community and primary health services focusing on Māori, Pacific, tamariki, rangatahi, whānau and high-needs populations.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role:
We are excited to recruit for additional Kaimanaaki to support our whānau and various communities. This important role will be responsible for providing support and advice to whānau, connecting our community with information, knowledge, and access to a range of community services and resources. The right candidate will be comfortable working in Te Ao Māori and community and with other key stakeholders to ensure improved access to various services.
This exciting position is ideally suited to a positive, competent, community-based person with a can-do attitude who is motivated to improve health outcomes for Māori, Pacific and underserved populations. Te Reo Māori is preferred, but not essential. Experience in engaging in a community-based health services would be an advantage, but equally if you feel you can make a contribution to our Māori community, we will provide comprehensive training.

You will enjoy working with our community – tamariki, rangatahi, kaumātua and kuia - knowing you are making a significant impact on the preventative health and wellbeing of our Māori communities.

- Ability to proactively engage with communities, networks, and whānau to address priority health, social and wellbeing concerns
- Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and communicate with a wide cross-section of people
- Excellent engagement, community, and network relationships, including Te Ao Māori
- Highly developed interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Personal attributes – passionate, energetic, committed, dependable
