School Based Youth Health Clinics
The school based youth health clinics are aimed at reaching young people aged between 13-18 utilising a model that addresses healthy youth development and enhances resiliency and risk reduction.
The school based youth health clinics have friendly staff who are experienced and professional, who are dedicated to giving young people the best advice and service that is both confidential and free. The HealthWEST team consists of five doctors, one social worker and a nurse specialist.
A collaborative approach is taken working in partnership with other services to provide comprehensive care.
Currently five school based youth health clinics are delivered in the following high schools in West Auckland:
Henderson High
Tuesday and Friday
Kelston Girls High
Monday and Thursday
Kelston Boys
Monday and Friday
Massey High
Tuesday and Wednesday
Waitakere College.
Tuesday and Thursday
Young people can access the school clinics through self referral, making appointments with their school nurse or health clinic receptionist.
